What we do
Four jobs, one standard.
We work on software that already has a job to do, or is about to. These are the four ways we help, and a project can use more than one.
01
Architecture
We map what you run today, decide what should change and write it down in a form your team can argue with. Every decision comes with the trade-off it costs.
- System and data design reviews
- Architecture decision records
- Migration and scaling plans
02
Build
We build web applications, APIs and the infrastructure under them, in small releases you can see working. Tests, deployment and monitoring are part of the build, not a later phase.
- Web applications and APIs
- Integrations with the tools you already use
- CI, deployment and observability
03
Rescue
When a project has stalled, a deploy is frightening or nobody wants to touch a module, we start by finding out why. Then we make it safe to change, one measured step at a time.
- Codebase and infrastructure audits
- Stabilising failing releases
- Upgrading stuck frameworks and dependencies
04
Handover
Everything we build is meant to be run by someone else. We pair with your team, write down what matters and leave when you no longer need us.
- Pairing and code walkthroughs
- Runbooks and architecture notes
- A clean exit, on your schedule
What we work in.
We work remotely, on US time zones, in English. We use what your system already runs, and we say so when a change would serve you better.
- Back end
- Ruby on Rails, Node.js and NestJS, Python and Django, PHP and Laravel
- Web front end
- React and Next.js, Angular, Vue, TypeScript
- Mobile
- Flutter, Swift, Kotlin
- Infrastructure
- AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, CI and deployment pipelines
Not sure which one you need?
Describe the system and the problem. We will tell you what we would do first.
